Abby wants to go to a fall festival by herself but she always brings her little brother, Alex.  Her mom and dad dicided if she could prove she was mature.She had many ideas but almost all failed.  She baby-sitted Alex and they raced and Alex got badly hurt.They went to Jessica's house witch was only a block away and they had to rush to vthe hospital.  To Abby's suprise that allowed her to go to the by herself.  She said Abby acted very mature because she knew what to do. She got to go to the festival by herself! Thie book was one of my favorite in the series.  Please put your comment in the comment place.

What happens in this book:abby signs up for a soccer team but her parentsd don't know.   She got her dad  to sign a perermision slip to attend.  Abby also gets a creative writing teacher, Mrs.Bunder.  She had to writre an article and she dicided to do it on soccer!  Then there was a twist, Abby's article actually go published in the local newspaper!  She titled it: It's a kick-- Or is it?  The ups and downs of soccer by Abby Hayes. The Abby Hayes series are books are created by Anne Mazer and it is about a girl in 5th grade in Mrs. Kantor's class and her best friend is Jessica.  Abby writes alot, it is her favorite subject.  Her mom won't let her get her ears pierced.  Her family members are Paul-the dad, Olivia-the mom, eva-older twinsister to Isabel,abby of course,and alex-her younger brother.
